A 45-year-old woman suffered a fractured pelvis Thursday when the car she was driving collided with a truck that ran a red light in San Diego’s Oak Park neighborhood, police said.

The crash occurred about 2:35 p.m. at the intersection of 54th Street and Pirotte Drive, said San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.

The woman’s Toyota Prius was eastbound on Pirotte, turning north onto 54th Street, when it was struck by a Dodge truck being driven south on 54th Street by a 22-year-old man, Heims said.

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of her non-life-threatening injury, he said.
