Nordstrom is set to open two new service hubs, including one in San Diego, the company announced Monday.
The 1,190-square-foot Nordstrom Local One Paseo, at 3725 Paseo Place, #1040 in Carmel Valley, is scheduled to open June 4. Another location is planned for Danville.
Fanya Chandler, president of Nordstrom stores, said the new additions represent the expansion of the company’s “commitment to serving customers across California.”
“Northern and Southern California represent two of our most significant markets, and these new locations reflect our continued focus on evolving alongside our customers,” Chandler continued. “By extending our presence closer to where our customers live and work, we believe Nordstrom Locals will offer greater convenience, broader access to what they need, and a more personalized experience.”
Customers who head to the smaller Nordstrom Locals may pick up online orders, return goods, have garments altered and more, but the sites do not have retail sections. They also will be able to drop off “gently used clothing and shoes” which will be donated to local nonprofits.
The new sites will be the fifth and sixth such hubs in California, joining Brentwood, Newport Beach, Manhattan Beach and Fillmore.
The company has nearly 400 Nordstrom, Nordstrom Local and Nordstrom Rack locations, along with its Nordstrom and Rack apps and websites.
