The Padres’ special events team, Petco Park Events, has signed on a new event space, Eve, in partnership with developer IQHQ.
Eve is located on the top level of the Edge building in IQHQ’s Research and Development District (RaDD), an office, lab and retail development spanning 1.7 million square feet, on the downtown waterfront along North Harbor Drive.
Eve is the third addition to the Petco Park Events’ venue portfolio alongside Petco Park and the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.
“Petco Park Events is thrilled to join forces with IQHQ to bring clients from all over to San Diego’s newest premier event venue,” said Jaclyn Lash, Padres senior vice president of special events. “We have a long history of hosting various events of all sizes at Petco Park, and we look forward to bringing that same world-class event experience to Eve while showcasing what our beautiful city has to offer.”
Slated to open in May, Eve is highlighted by a 270-degree panoramic view of San Diego Bay with indoor and outdoor waterfront space allowing for multiple layouts, providing opportunities to customize event experiences.
With a 19-foot-high ceiling and 7,800 square feet of indoor meeting room space, Eve features an expansive primary event room that can accommodate up to 570 seated guests and up to 1,126 standing guests.
In addition to the primary event room, Eve has two reservable salons that may be used for private meetings or 10–12 person break-out sessions, along with a furnished pre-function terrace that overlooks the bay and accommodates up to 547 guests.
Eve will provide in-house catering and has an arrival zone prepped for a pop-up bar, with beverage service managed by Snake Oil Cocktail Company, an award-winning beverage catering and mixology company headquartered in San Diego.
