Famed British rock band The Rolling Stones will kick off its 2015 North American tour on May 24 at Petco Park.
The 15-city stadium tour ends July 15 in Quebec, Canada. The band last toured North America in 2007.
“We are excited to be back in North America playing stadiums this summer,” band leader Mick Jagger said in a statement. “We are looking forward to being back onstage and playing your favorite songs.”
In a promotional YouTube video for the tour, the singer added, “People say, ‘How come you’re still doing this?’ but I can’t believe I did this when I was 20.”
The band was formed in London in 1962. Jagger, then an undergraduate at the prestigious London School of Economics, will be 71 when the band plays in San Diego.
Tickets go on sale April 13.
