Goodwill Industries of San Diego County held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday to mark the reopening of its Santee store after extensive renovations.
The organization created an open floor plan in the store by re-purposing an office, which will allow for more products on the shelves. Goodwill also added new flooring to the store, nearly 1,500 square feet of production area and a covered carport for patrons who use the drive-through donation window.
Goodwill uses the revenue from its stores and after-market facilities to fund employment and training programs for people with disabilities. Goodwill has operated in San Diego since 1930. The Santee store first opened in 2013.
The store is located at 9575 Mission Gorge Road.
