The San Diego Workforce Partnership held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday to celebrate the opening of its new headquarters in Kearny Mesa.

The organization expects to save roughly $320,000 in rent this year due to the move and $6 million total through 2034. The organization plans to reinvest the savings into its services for job-seekers and employers to continue its efforts to reinforce the county’s labor market.

Workforce Partnership officials plan to followed up the ribbon-cutting with an open house to provide tours to local leaders. The organization also plans to debuted its new logo at the event.

County Supervisor Greg Cox and San Diego City Councilman Chris Cate were in attendance at the morning event.
