A fire at a home in Paradise Hills caused $300,000 in damage Friday and displaced four adults and one child.

Firefighters headed to a house on Deauville Street near Roanoke Street in response to a report of a fire at about 4:50 a.m., according to a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher.

By the time the blaze was out, it had caused about $200,000 in damage to the home and $100,000 in damage to its contents, the dispatcher said.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the blaze.
