A pair of handgun-wielding thieves robbed a San Ysidro cellphone store Tuesday.
The holdup at the T-Mobile store in the 4300 block of Camino de la Plaza was reported shortly after 12:30 p.m., according to San Diego police.
The robbers, whose faces were partially covered by white masks, grabbed an undisclosed number of cellphones before leaving the business and fleeing the area in a late-model compact car, Sgt. Thomas Sullivan said.
Officers set up a perimeter and searched the neighborhood by ground and aboard a patrol helicopter but were unable to find the thieves.
