A multi-vehicle crash on state Route 56 sent one person to a hospital with minor injuries on Saturday afternoon.

Dispatchers were told about 1:20 p.m. that two to three cars were involved in a collision on eastbound Route 56 near Carmel Creek Road, and one of the cars had overturned and landed back on its wheels, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.

One person was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesperson said. No one else was seriously hurt.
