A suspicious fire that destroyed a home in Bonsall has investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Bomb/Arson Unit asking for the public’s help in providing information.

The fire in the 31000 block of Via Puerta Del Sol broke out shortly before 5 p.m. on June 5. No injuries were reported, but damage to the home was estimated at around $900,000, according to officials.

“The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Investigators are asking any witnesses to this fire to please contact them,” a statement from the sheriff’s department read.
