A fast-moving brush fire in Fallbrook charred 10 acres before firefighters were able to get it under control, according to Cal Fire.

The fire started around 3 p.m. in the 3400 block of Conquistador Road, in a remote area of De Luz Heights, Cal Fire said.

The fire was first reported at three acres but quickly jumped to 10 acres within an hour, the agency said.

Around 4:40 p.m., firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading and it was holding at 10 acres.

No homes were threatened in the blaze. Crews will remain through the night to battle hot spots, Cal Fire said.
