After a cold week, with record low temperatures in many areas, it will be a warm weekend in San Diego.

“High pressure will gradually build over Southern California and bring a big warmup heading into the weekend,” the local National Weather Service office said.

High temperatures Friday will be in the low 70s near the coast and the low 80s inland. On Saturday, it will warm up to the mid 70s at the coast to mid 80s inland, and then cool off by several degrees on Sunday.

Temperatures near the foothills may reach the low 90s over the weekend, and Borrego Springs in the desert could see temperatures in the low 100s.
