San Diego police were involved in a standoff and officer-involved shooting Friday morning with a man reportedly armed with a knife and rifle at a home in Bay Park, police said.
Details of the incident were scarce Friday morning, but a San Diego Police watch commander confirmed there were reports of shots fired in the 2800 block of Arnott Street between Field and Huxley streets. The incident began sometime around 8 a.m. and ended shortly after 8:20 a.m. with a suspect in custody, but it was immediately clear if the suspect was injured.
Police were investigating the incident and expected to release more information later Friday morning.
