San Diego’s newest theatre company Bocón will host its inaugural production of the same name this weekend.

“BOCÓN,” written by Lisa Loomer, follows Miguel, a big-mouthed boy on a magical and treacherous journey from his home in Central America across the border of lights into the United States. With his guitar in hand, a Quetzal feather to protect him, and the unlikely friendship of La Llorona, Miguel inspires audiences of all ages to find their voice and to tell their unique story proudly.

The production will take place from Thursday through Sunday at the Laura R. Charles Theater in National City.

Tickets are $5 for children age 11 and under and $10 for adults.
