UCSD women’s and men’s soccer teams have both been playing extremely well of late, with the men’s team jumping to No. 12 in the country while the women’s team sits at No. 9.
With both teams playing in Division II, women’s have stayed engraved in their No. 9 slot, the men’s jump to No. 12 comes after being ranked No. 21 previously.
They sit atop the CCAA, the California Collegiate Athletic Association, or CCAA. The men’s team’s record stands at 10-1-2, while the women’s team sits at 12-2.
The women’s team opened up the year by beating No. Azuza Pacific University and hasn’t dropped below No. 11 since. The men’s team, however, ranked only as high as No. 21 before finally beating No. 12 Cal State Los Angeles to take their spot.
Both of the Triton teams embark on a four-game road trip this weekend before starting their respective CCAA tournaments.
