Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein is “under the weather” and won’t make her scheduled San Diego appearance Thursday, organizers said.

“It is possible that Jill may be able to do a live stream with us, so stay tuned,” said a Facebook posting.

Stein had been set to speak at the WorldBeat Cultural Center in Balboa Park.

Campaign manager David Cobb, the 2004 Green Party candidate for president and the founder of Move to Amend, will be speaking in her stead, according to the campaign.

“The program of local activists, candidates and Green Party representatives remains otherwise unchanged,” said a statement.

Others expected to attend are:

  • Ann Menasche, Green Party of San Diego
  • L. Bush, Mennonite activist
  • Lucila Conde, Raices Sin Fronteras and Solidarity
  • Fayaz Nawabi, local imam, activist, and surfer
  • Mark Bartlett, People Over Profits
  • And Kareem Samuel, Navy veteran and student.

Worldbeat Center, at 2100 Park Blvd., is expected to live-stream the event via its YouTube channel.

According to Real Clear Politics, Stein is averaging 2.5 percent support in national polls, behind Hillary Clinton (45.2), Donald Trump (39.2) and Gary Johnson (6.4).
