The University of San Diego’s Women’s Volleyball team is firing on nearly every cylinder possible in their climb to the fifth best team in the country.
The Toreros are currently riding a 14 game win streak, their latest victory coming in a 3-0 drubbing against Saint Mary’s College Saturday. They’re 15-2 overall, nine of those wins coming in 3-0 sweeps, one of which came against fellow West Coast Conference team No. 11 BYU. They’ve also beat Stanford, who are now ranked No. 7.
The two losses came at the beginning of the season against Minnesota and Wisconsin, now ranked No. 1 and 2 respectively.
It’s the highest ranking the Toreros have been this season. The last time they were this nationally recognized was 2013, when they were second best in the country.
