The county of San Diego recently named Operation REBOOT, a nonprofit that helps veterans transition back into civilian life, a Live Well San Diego partner.
Operation REBOOT, also known as National Veterans Transition Services, has helped more than 1,500 veterans transition into civilian life.
The Live Well San Diego initiative units all sectors — business, schools, military and veterans’ organizations, community and faith-based organizations, and all levels of government — in order to bring about positive change.
“We are proud to be a Live Well partner,” said retired Navy Master Chief Maurice Wilson. “The National Veterans Transition Services, Inc. has been a part of the County of San Diego’s initiatives to support military and veterans in the region, easing their transition from the military and helping them successfully reintegrate into San Diego’s communities by supporting the County’s Military and Veteran Resource Centers in Escondido and National City. And we look forward to expanding veteran services to Oceanside and East County for the improved well-being of our region’s veteran residents and their families.”
Operation REBOOT also recently received a $12,500 donation from Ashford University and a $4,000 donation from Ingram Micro. Both contributions will help the nonprofit continue to promote employment in key industry sectors through job training and career matching.
