
The San Diego Symphony will perform a free concert of refreshing music Sunday afternoon in the relaxing, scenic area of the Embarcadero Marina Park.
According to the symphony, performers include some of the region’s talented local bands, including Todo Mundo, the King Taylor Project, as well as singer Raelee Nikole.
The event begins at 4 p.m. on July 31 at 200 Marina Park Way. This is also the location of the symphony’s Bayside Summer Nights.
The musical performances will lead up to the San Diego Symphony performing their hour-long concert at 7:30 p.m., which will present the music of Academy Award-winning composer John Williams.
The San Diego Symphony shared this lineup of the performers and other Sounds of the City events:
- 4:00 p.m. Gates open.
- 4:20 p.m. Raelee Nikole performs
- 5:20 p.m. King Taylor Project performs
- 6:20 p.m. Todo Mundo performs
- 7:10 p.m. Sounds of the City Trivia Game
- 7:30 p.m. San Diego Symphony performs
Concert attendees can also enjoy the beautiful park with Sounds of the City offering games and activities, such as Giant Jenga, Corn Hole, bocce ball, checkers and Twister, according to the San Diego Symphony.
A family area will feature a “Make Your Own Instrument” workshop and an obstacle course. There’s even “My First Violin Class,” where students of all ages can attempt to play a violin with the help of a professional instructor, according to the San Diego Symphony.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic basket, or buy food on the premises. Craft beer will be available.
Although the event is free and open to the public, a registration ticket is required for entry. Make sure to pick one up from the Embarcadero box office.
