A 27-year-old man who was pulled unconscious from the water near Ocean Beach Park early Wednesday has died.
Someone called for help around 3:15 a.m. and told dispatchers the man had fallen off a jetty, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Lee Swanson.
Lifeguards pulled the man to shore and performed CPR for some time before he was rushed to UC San Diego Medical Center, Swanson said. The man later died at the hospital, and his name has yet to be made public.
