San Diego police are investigating as a homicide the death of a 63-year-old woman whose body was found at a San Diego cargo and courier service early Sunday.
Officers discovered the woman’s body just before 2 a.m. at the LBC Express business office in the 8900 block of Mira Mesa Boulevard, according to SDPD Lt. Manuel Del Toro.
“Officers responded to a concerned citizen’s request to check the welfare at the LBC Express business office,” Del Toro said.
The deceased woman had “obvious trauma to her body,” he said.
The woman’s husband became concerned and called police because she did not return home at her usual time, Del Toro said.
“The victim’s identity is known but will not be released until the rest of her family has been notified,” he said.
Anyone with information about the death was urged to call San Diego homicide detectives at (619) 531-8477.
