A motorcyclist and his wife from San Diego County were fatally injured when they crashed just after midnight on Sunday on the Interstate 5 in San Clemente.
They were later identified as Christopher Goodrich, 35, and Luz Goodrich, 32, according to the coroner’s office. The married couple had resided in Lakeside.
Luz Goodrich died just one day after her 32nd birthday, according to the coroner’s office.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at about 12:20 a.m. to the crash on the northbound I-5 near Avenida Vista Hermosa, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steven Concialdi.
Christopher Goodrich and Luz Goodrich were rushed to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, where they later died from their injuries, Concialdi said.
