A power outage Wednesday forced the closure of Grossmont College, which will remain shut down Thursday, school officials said.
UPDATE: Grossmont College will be closed on Thurs, June 30. All classes are cancelled. We expect the campus to reopen on Tuesday, July 5.

The outage was caused by crews who were working on a 12-kilovolt electrical line along the campus perimeter road, according to Anne Krueger of the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District.
Krueger said all offices on the El Cajon campus were closed and classes canceled.
The campus will reopen on Tuesday, following Monday’s July 4 holiday, she said.
