Two men were shot by the Jamacha Lomita area of San Diego when someone opened fire on their garage, said the San Diego police.

The shooting took place about 9:05 p.m. Friday at 7922 Gribble Street, SDPD Sgt. David Jennings said. The suspects then took off.

Two men, one 56 and the other, 58, were sitting in the garage when someone opened fire on the garage from the street, hitting both men, Jennings said.

One of the victims suffered a gunshot wound to the head and the other was wounded in the leg, he said. Both men were taken to a hospital and each were expected to survive.

The shooter left in a dark-colored vehicle. A motive for the shooting was unknown. The case remains under investigation by the SDPD.
