Vista’s new Moonlight Presents cultural arts program continues Friday with award-winning country artist Jo Dee Messina at the Moonlight Amphitheatre.
Messina, who has had nine number-one singles on the Billboard country music charts, recently signaled her independence from the music industry by using Kickstarter to fund a full-length album.
She takes the stage in Vista at 7:30 p.m., performing a blend of her classic music, familiar hits and songs from the new Kickstarter album “Me.”
Tickets for the April 22 concert range from $25 to $65.
Next up in the series is The Intergalactic Nemesis Live-Action Graphic Novel with “Target Earth” on May 7. Three actors, a Foley artist and a pianist perform all of the voices, sound effects and music while more than a thousand comic book images are projected onto a large screen.
