A 5-year-old North County girl who prompted an intensive search when she went missing Wednesday afternoon was found safe hours later, hiding in her family’s garage.
Sophia Saragosa of Oceanside disappeared at her residence in the 1100 block of Parkview Drive sometime after 12:30 p.m., according to police.
Officers with service dogs searched surrounding areas to find the girl, at times aided by a sheriff’s helicopter crew, until she turned up unharmed at her home about 4:30 p.m., Lt, Leonard Cosby said.
