In an effort to help San Diegans recycle old tax files, the city of San Diego Environmental Services Department and Allan Company are hosting the 14th annual Residential Tax Files Recycling Program.
San Diegans can recycle their old taxes from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday from April 13 to April 20. The recycling event will take place at the Miramar Recycling Center at 5165 Convoy Street in San Diego.
Only one banker’s box of residential tax files per resident is accepted. A “bankers box” is approximately 10 inches high, 15 inches wide, and 25 inches deep.
All documents will be securely stored and shredded before being recycled. Businesses can also find recycling services under “Business Records Destruction.”
For more information about recycling, call the city’s Environmental Services Department at (858) 694-7000 or visit www.recyclingworks.com.
