We’re in the final stretch of our year-end fundraiser! Your support matters now more than ever. Every gift ensures that we keep showing up for Point Loma and Ocean Beach every day in 2026.
Hello, Point Loma and Ocean Beach!

It’s almost a new year, Point Loma! Just like that, the holiday season is over and we’re off into the great unknown of 2026. Unfortunately, it seems like it’s being ushered in by yet another storm.
The rain shouldn’t last too long, though; it’s expected to continue through Saturday. After the rain passes through, it’s a great opportunity to get going on your New Year’s resolutions.
Among the myriad of resolutions you could choose from, Point Loma and OB can cater to it all.
If you’re trying to be more active this year, there are quite a few yoga studios in town, including Pier to Point Yoga and Wellness Studio on Voltaire Street. And of course, Indie Yoga, OB’s original hot yoga studio, has a discount on the first month for locals.
To save some money, you could also take to running along the Sunset Cliffs. It will probably be the most scenic jog of your life.
If you’re trying to eat healthier, OB is also home to a lot of health-food restaurants and stores. Vilis Health Bar serves smoothies and açaí bowls on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.
The Ocean Beach People’s Food Co-Op is another great option for healthy food options and has been a pillar in the community for years.
Then, if you’re trying to advance your knowledge in 2026, the Ocean Beach Library hosts a book club, and all you need to do is ask the circulation desk for a copy of the month’s book to check out. They meet on the last Tuesday of every month.
