A man who participated in a string of takeover-style robberies at stores in Oceanside and Vista last year was sentenced Tuesday to three years in state prison.

John Gabriel Gonzalez, 22, pleaded guilty last month to six counts of robbery.

The takeover-style heists happened at the GameStop on Vista Way in Oceanside last Aug. 5; a GameStop store in Vista and the Oceanside Pharmacy on Vista Way last July; and a beauty supply store in Vista last March.

During the robberies, the suspects tied up the victims and moved them from room to room while pointing guns at them, police said.

Timothy Michael Williamson, 21, pleaded guilty to multiple counts of robbery and firearm allegations and was sentenced earlier this month to 13 years in prison.

Jaleil Raeshad Thomas, 22, pleaded guilty to robbery and firearm allegations and faces up to 41 years behind bars when he is sentenced May 12.

Shamaria Gentry, 21, pleaded guilty to being an accomplice after the fact and to misdemeanor theft and receiving stolen property. She faces a maximum of four years in prison and will be sentenced the same day as Thomas.
