Two men were in custody Wednesday, accused of leading Border Patrol agents on a wrong way, high-speed freeway chase from the San Ysidro Port of Entry to Chula Vista.
The suspects drove north on southbound Interstate 5 shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The chase ended shortly after the suspects’ truck crashed into a car near L Street, at which point the men made a failed attempt to run to escape, authorities said. No injuries were reported.
