Tri-City Medical Center has hired a 35-year healthcare industry veteran from Washington as its next CEO.
Tim Moran was most recently the chief executive at Valley Hospital in Spokane, where he took over in August after serving as the top interim administrator.
Moran has also led hospitals and healthcare organizations in Northern California and Utah.
“Tim brings extensive strategy and operations experience leading hospitals,” said Larry Schallock, chairman of Tri-City Healthcare District Board of Directors. “Our organization will benefit greatly from Tim’s collaborative leadership approach and strong focus on developing a close relationship with the community that we serve.”
Moran’s hiring to head the hospital that serves Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista followed a nationwide search.
Moran is due to begin work on June 23, according to Tri-City.
