‘The Force’ is with San Diegan: Local Actress in next ‘Star Wars’

A San Diego native will be in the next “Star Wars” movie, it was announced Monday.

Kelly Marie Tran, a graduate of Westview High School in Rancho Bernardo, is a part of the cast in “Star Wars Episode VIII,” expected to be released in 2017.

According to IMDb.com, Tran has been acting since 2011. She’s most known for her roles in CollegeHumor videos.
