As new home sales increase nationwide, Lennar announced Wednesday it will open a 70-home community in Escondido.
The home builder said models will open Saturday, Jan. 30, at Pradera and pre-sales are underway. The development is located on Lehner Avenue in north Escondido.
The announcement came on the same day that the Commerce Department reported new home sales surged 11 percent nationwide in December as home building continues to rebound from the recession of 2008.
Priced from the upper $600,000’s, homes in Pradera will offer from 2,406 to 3,606 square feet of living space and four to five bedrooms. Both single-story and two-story homes are planned.
“We are thrilled to offer this new collection of beautiful homes to buyers in the San Diego area,” said Jeremy Parness, division president for Lennar California Coastal. “Pradera features spacious floor plans with amazing upgrades — all included as standard.”
The homes include gourmet kitchens with slab granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and energy-efficient tankless water heaters.
