The 7th Annual Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival, presented by Pacific Health Group, returns to North Park on Sunday, June 22, from 12–4 p.m., bringing together some of the region’s best ice cream, gelato, and paleta makers for an afternoon of sampling, music, and community fun.
This year, the festival is partnering with ProduceGood, a local nonprofit dedicated to reducing food waste. Several vendors will debut exclusive flavors made with rescued produce — think surplus strawberries, ripe peaches, and other “imperfect” fruits turned into inventive, small-batch scoops.
A new feature this year is the Best Flavor of the Year competition, judged live by well-known local chefs Claudia Sandoval, Zuliya Khawaja, and Sam The Cooking Guy. Attendees can also vote for the People’s Choice winner.
Festival Highlights:
- 30+ vendors offering ice cream, gelato, and paletas.
- Exclusive flavors made with rescued fruits.
- Celebrity chef judging and public voting.
- VIP Lounge with premium bites, fast lane access, and lounge seating.
- Live music, demos, family activities, and interactive booths.
VIP tickets are $125 and include early access, bites from Michelin-starred chef Drew Deckman, freshly churned ice cream from Chef Letha Marie Gimble, pizza from Sisters Pizza, and access to exclusive flavors and activations.
General Admission is $50 and includes 10 one-ounce samples from participating vendors during festival hours.
All net proceeds benefit ProduceGood, supporting their work to combat food waste and hunger throughout San Diego County.
