The city of Carlsbad has entered into an agreement with the California Coastal Commission to pay for an extra employee.
It’s a 30-month agreement that the city hopes will expedite projects in the North County city, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune. Carlsbad will pay $166,000 a year for the employee.
Officials told the newspaper it will be considered for expansion at the end of the agreement.
