Susan Kaplan, founder of BeLoved Pet Sitting in Chula Vista, has reached the semifinals of The UPS Store Small Biz Challenge, and the public can vote once a day through Friday to help the business advance to the finals.
Kaplan, a native San Diegan who started the business at 18, is competing for a chance to win a share of a $35,000 prize pool and editorial feature in Inc. magazine.
BeLoved Pet Sitting offers a variety of pet care services, including dog and cat sitting, dog walking, exotic animal care and wedding pet services, according to its website.
The top three semifinalists with the most public votes will compete in a live finale in Austin, Texas, for the grand prize.
