
A pair of earthquakes were reported early Thursday, both epicentered just outside Borrego Springs.
The first quake struck at 1:39 a.m., with a preliminary magnitude of 3.7, and was a little over 6.5 miles deep, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The second earthquake hit at around 3:05 a.m., and it was centered about half a mile away, also around six miles deep. That quake was listed with a preliminary magnitude of 3.1.
The epicenter of both quakes were approximately six miles east-northeast of Borrego Springs.
No damage or injuries were reported.
