A man suffered a serious leg injury Saturday when he was pinned by a car being parked by a driver suspected of DUI.
The 23-year-old victim was handling trash bags at about 8:40 a.m. in front of a strip mall at 9532 Miramar Road when he was hit, according to the San Diego Police Department, which said that “for an unknown reason, the driver drove forward over a curb and pinned the pedestrian’s leg to the wall.”
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of apparent fractures and also complained of head pain.
DUI is suspected as a factor in the crash. The driver was identified only as a 39-year-old male.
