San Diego Sheriff‘s deputies conducted a DUI/license checkpoint at Imperial Beach but made no arrests for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The checkpoint was conducted between 8 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Laura Sprang.
Deputies gave two drivers field sobriety tests but neither was detained. Three vehicles were impounded and issued 23 citations.
These included four to unlicensed drivers, three to motorists driving with a suspended license and 12 to people driving without their license.
