Starting Feb. 18, some user fees at county parks will see a modest increase, including those for camping, parking, fishing permits, boat rentals and sports facilities.

This marks the first adjustment in nearly 11 years, as the county Parks and Recreation Department seeks to address rising costs while maintaining its outdoor and recreational spaces, officials said.

Most fee changes are incremental. For example, Day Use Parking will increase from $3.00 to $5.00 per day, and RV partial hook-up campsites will increase from $29 to $35 per night. Simplified pricing will also be introduced, with camping reservations now covering up to two pets and one extra vehicle at no additional cost.

Despite the increases, officials said the department remains committed to affordability. Discount programs for veterans, seniors and groups, along with scholarships and the free First Time Camping Program, aim to expand access and reduce financial barriers to enjoying the outdoors.
