Kimpton’s Hotel Solamar has announced plans for complete renovation of the 235-room boutique hotel in the Gaslamp.
All guestrooms, the ballroom, meeting rooms and the lobby will be updated in what the hotel describes as a “high-end Mediterranean style” that blends historic Spanish influences with modern touches. The estimated completion date is the spring of 2016.
“We can’t wait to complete this renovation and truly offer it all—a vibrant, stunning hotel in the ideal downtown location, a world-class restaurant and pool deck, and of course our unmatched guest service,” said Shannon Foster, general manager at Hotel Solamar.
The hotel offers 8,800 square feet of event space and a popular rooftop terrace, pool and bar. The hotel is also home to the Jsix Restaurant and Bar, a neighborhood restaurant known for farm-to-table food and craft cocktails.
San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants operates a collection of more than 60 boutique hotels and 70 restaurants throughout the United States.
