Three teenagers were injured when a pickup truck they were in crashed in the yard of a home in Oceanside early Tuesday morning.

The Toyota Tundra was traveling at an estimated 65 mph south on Pacific St. just before 2 a.m. Tuesday and failed to negotiate a left turn at Eaton St., crashing onto private property, the Oceanside Police Department said.

The vehicle’s occupants — a girl and two boys — were all 17 years old. All sustained injuries, OPD said.

One occupant was taken to a trauma center, and the other two were taken to a hospital to be evaluated.

The driver was evaluated for driving under the influence and was driving without a license, according to reports.

If investigators conclude the driver was under the influence, the case will be forwarded to the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office for review.
