Looking for something to do around South Bay for the holidays?
The Port of San Diego is hosting its fifth annual South Bay Holiday, a free family event at the Port Aquatic Center in National City on Dec. 11 in honor of the holiday season.
From 5-8 p.m., guests can take pictures with Santa and enjoy treats, beverages, giveaways, activities and music. Shopping will also be available at local vendors and artisans with handcrafted items to purchase.
“I am incredibly excited to welcome the whole community to celebrate the holiday season in National City at South Bay Holiday,” said GilAnthony Ungab, National City’s appointee on the Board of Port Commissioners.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate as a community, support local businesses, all while showing off our beautiful Aquatic Center and waterfront,” he said.
Reservations are not required to attend. There is free parking at the Aquatic Center as well as a free shuttle service from the National City Public Library from 4:45-8:05 p.m, with trips running every 15-20 minutes.
Free Rides Around National City will also run their service schedule until 7 p.m. Find more information at nationalcityca.gov.
