San Diego County parents and educators will be able to learn about the importance of child safety seats thanks to a $250,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, it was announced Thursday.
The county’s Health and Human Services Agency received the grant for the program, which runs through September of next year.
The grant will pay for child safety seat inspections and classes, county officials said.
Families in need will also receive safety seats at no cost.
