Firefighters worked an open space rescue Saturday at the edge of Mission Trails Regional Park.

Units were dispatched at 1:05 p.m. and arrived a few minutes later to Golfcrest Drive and Navajo Road, near Mission Golf, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

A total of 25 personnel were assigned to the rescue, including one truck, one medic and two engines, officials said.

No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported. The city of La Mesa assisted in the effort.
