San Diego police are investigating the possibility that two early-morning burglaries in Kearny Mesa may be related.

In the first incident, Game Empire, 5037 Shawline St., was burglarized by a suspect who broke the glass door to enter the store around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, according to OnScene.TV. The cash register drawer was missing, along with cases of Pokémon collectible cards. The suspect rode away on a bicycle.

Two miles away and less than 20 minutes later, Regency Supply, 4590 Chesapeake Drive, was burglarized, with entry also gained by breaking through a glass door.

Officers searched the business, but did not find anyone. They were awaiting store management to determine the losses to the business.
