Authorities on Wednesday released the name of a 23-year-old woman who was killed in a late-night traffic crash.
Karla Leyva of Carlsbad had just parked her car in the 2200 block of Las Palmas Drive and was standing next to it when an oncoming vehicle hit her at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Leyva died at the scene.
