A three-vehicle crash involving a big rig truck caused a fuel spill and subsequent closure of part of the westbound 94 freeway in the Casa de Oro area, including the Bancroft Drive exit, and left at least one person injured Tuesday morning.

According to Onscene.TV, the commercial big rig slammed into the back of a truck on the freeway, which in turn hit a minivan in front of it.

The semi then rolled off the freeway and came to a rest on its side between the offramp and city streets, still bearing a load that needed to be unloaded before it could be righted on its wheels again, said the California Highway Patrol.

Meanwhile, the diesel truck that had been hit by the big rig was leaking fuel into the lanes and also needed to be righted.

It is unclear exactly how many people were injured or what caused the crash.
