After a brief return last week against the Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers guard Orlando Franklin will miss his fourth game of the season with an ankle injury, according to the team’s Week 8 injury report.

Joining Franklin on the sideline as the team takes on the Baltimore Ravens will be linebacker Manti Te’o, who will miss his third straight game with an ankle injury as well.

Te’o isn’t the only key defensive player who won’t be playing Sunday. Safety Eric Weddle will miss his second game due to a groin injury.

The biggest injury storyline to watch will be whether tight end Antonio Gates will return to action, after missing last week’s game.

Gates did not practice all week, but is listed questionable and will be a game-time decision Sunday morning.

The offense should get a little boost with center Chris Watt probable to play after practicing fully all week, and running back Melvin Gordon is also listed as probable as he continues to heal an ankle injury suffered Week 6.

Rookie linebacker Denzel Perryman is listed as doubtful after he suffering a strained bicep in last week’s loss and was unable to practice this week.
