With the departure of monsoonal moisture Monday, dry and seasonal weather will prevail through the weekend.

Breezy westerly winds are expected through parts of the mountains and deserts through Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures Tuesday are expected to reach 75 to 79 near the coast, 82 to 86 inland, 84 to 89 in the western valleys, 89 to 94 near the foothills, 85 to 95 in the mountains and 106 to 111 in the deserts.

A coastal eddy could enhance the marine layer and cloud coverage Wednesday and Thursday, NWS said.

Counterintuitively, high pressure aloft actually strengthens those days so inland temperatures will be a few degrees higher.

Monsoon moisture appears to increase this coming weekend, leading to a very small chance of thunderstorms for mountains and deserts Sunday and Monday.
